Innokat acting as the technology partner of Government of Punjab for the second phase of distributing laptops among the merit students under the banner of e-Youth Initiative, is providing 100,000 Laptops.
Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has launched Laptops Scheme under the e-Youth Initiative for shining student of Punjab, under which more than 100,000 laptops have been given away to bright students in the province last year. This year the CM Punjab is launching the second phase in which he will again distribute 100,000 laptops to the outstanding evening students first and then to brilliant day scholars.
Innokat is providing the students highly configured HP Laptops loaded with latest technology and bundled with Microsoft Windows 7 operating system. For securing the laptops from damage, carrying bag is also being provided with each laptop.
In alliance with TCS, Innokat has setup 36 service centers at various cities of Punjab. The students being awarded with laptops under the second phase of this scheme can get free support for the next one year from these service centers.
An online portal ( www.hed-laptopproject.com ) has been developed by Innokat to facilitate the students to whom the laptop is being awarded. This portal can also be used to track the status of the students’ laptops if warranty or support is claimed. In total, the portal also provides all the details related to this project.
The Government of Punjab is striving to provide the residents of the province a developed and modernized environment. For this the Government has implemented many projects and is planning for many more. Distributing laptops among the high achievers is also a step to empower the youth of the province and indulging them into an inspiration to achieve better grades and excel in the fields of research and development. The motivation behind this laptop scheme is to help students rise above problems they face in their path to gain knowledge.
